I’m Nina Botzen, a fashion and brand photographer capturing stories that merge creativity, style, and emotion.
I’ve always been drawn to creativity—whether it was crafting as a child or capturing my first images with a camera. My journey into photography began early and has since evolved into a professional path that merges both my artistic curiosity and academic background. I studied Design Management at the HSLU University of Applied Sciences in Lucerne, where I deepened my understanding of visual storytelling, branding, and creative strategy. While I am self-taught in photography, my design education has given me a strong foundation in aesthetics, composition, and the bigger picture of how visuals shape perception.
Over the years, I’ve honed my skills in photography, driven by a fascination with seeing the world through a lens and telling stories that might otherwise go unnoticed. Fashion has always been a source of inspiration for me—early on, I dreamed of studying fashion design and working at a leading magazine. Today, fashion photography allows me to merge that passion with my love for capturing authentic, striking visuals.
As a fashion and brand photographer, I specialize in creating imagery that is not only visually compelling but also deeply aligned with the identity and story of the people and brands I work with. What excites me most about this work is the creative freedom it offers—the ability to transform a vision into a narrative that resonates.
Beyond the camera, I’m passionate about sustainability, mindful travel, and conscious living. Whether it’s surfing, hiking, running, or practicing yoga, I find inspiration in nature and movement—sources that continuously fuel my creativity and perspective.
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
